1. What is ready to die within me? What do I need to release in order to transform?
Samhain is the season of Death. This is the point in the Wheel of the Year when the outside world dies. This is where we pause to acknowledge the importance Death plays in the cycle of life.
You need to honor the critical role Death plays in your spiritual journey. You cannot evolve without allowing things to die in your life–outdated beliefs, stories, habits; relationships that no longer serve you; the job that crushes your spirit. There are things in your life that need to die away in order to continue on your path of personal growth.
What are you ready to let go of so you can continue to evolve?
2. What do my shadows have to reveal? What is emerging from the growing darkness?
Over the last few weeks our focus has been steadily turning inward. As you make this shift, don’t be afraid to look inside at your own dark parts, your shadows–the places you hide things you don’t want others to see or to know about you.
Exploring your dark places will help you uncover old stories, old habits, old ways of being that just don’t serve you anymore–things you’ve outgrown. Practice being an observer right now. Do not judge yourself for anything you uncover.
What do your shadows want to show you right now?
3. How can I best nourish myself this season?
Exploring your shadows can be challenging, painful work. It doesn’t feel good to examine your deep, dark places. Being brave enough to journey into the darkness requires really mindful nurturing & self-compassion. This is hard inner work. It requires you to be so gentle & loving & kind to yourself over the next few months.
This late-autumn energy is encouraging you to take deep care of yourself right now. Rest as much as you can. Whatever self-care looks like for you, do that. Don’t judge yourself for how much you might need it right now.
How can you best nourish yourself in the coming weeks & months?

4. What magic is brewing in the growing darkness?
This dark side of the wheel of the year reminds us not to fear the darkness. There’s a lot of beauty in these dark days. Embrace it.
Magic is born in the darkness. The darkness of a mother’s womb creates new life. Seeds need the deep, dark Earth to grow. New life begins in the darkness.
What magic will the coming darkness bring into your life?
5. What message do my ancestors have for me tonight?
Many cultures view this as a moment in the year when you can easily connect with your beloved dead–those who have passed away before us. Samhain is believed to be a liminal time. A time when the veil between this world & the Otherworld is thin, and the Dead can easily cross into this world.
This is a beautiful time to remember the people you love who’ve passed on, and a powerful time to connect with your ancestors.
Ask them, what message do you have to share with me tonight?
